Mirtha Silvana Marín Garat is a PhD student at the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana (UNINI) Mexico. She is finishing her thesis on the limitations and opportunities of the Development Agencies of Uruguay. Silvana is, at the same time, director of the Local Economic Development Agency of the Province of Rivera and, therefore, is not silly in the matter, on the contrary, she lives and suffers on her skin virtues and vices, contradictions and problems , difficulty finding correct and shared solutions from complex organizations from a  LEDA.

AULEDA, the Local Economic Development Agency of the Vlora Region in Albania continues to successfully perform its role in strengthening the local economy. Providing services as mapping local resources, sustaining the enterprises in business planning, management and networking, supporting the social economy and the priority economic sectors for regional development as sustainable tourism, agro-food production, fishing and craft, AULEDA serves about 300,000 residents in the seven municipalities of Vlora.

On Tuesday, September 3, in the framework of the Eikon Córdoba Awards, ADEC Cordoba has been awarded in the General Event Category for the II International Design Biennial “The company and the design for the transformation of cities” - in the framework of the Córdoba CiudaDiseño Program.

The 14th OECD Local Development Forum will take place on December 10 and 11 in Antwerp, Belgium.

The Forum was created in 2004 by the OECD LEED Programme. This 2-day event gathers partners from national government, local authorities, employment agencies, businesses and NGOs.

The Legislative Assembly of the Emilia Romagna Region, in collaboration with the KIP International School, has launched the 17th edition of the René Cassin Award. The competition is open to recent graduates of second-level university degrees from the Region’s universities with theses related to human rights or human development. It is also open to residents of the Region who have completed such degrees in other universities in Italy or abroad.
