UN Habitat - Best Practices and Local Leadership Programme
The Best Practices and Local Leadership Programme (BLP) is a global network of government agencies, local authorities and their associations, professional and academic institutions and grassroots organisations dedicated to the identification and exchange of successful solutions for sustainable development. BLP partners are specialised in such areas as housing and urban development, urban governance, environmental planning and management, architecture and urban design, economic development, social inclusion, crime prevention, poverty reduction, women, youth, cultural heritage, municipal finance and management, infrastructure and social services.
UNCDF - United Nations Capital Development Fund
The United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) offers a unique combination of investment capital, capacity building and technical advisory services to promote microfinance and local development in the Least Developed Countries (LDCs): • UNCDF's microfinance programmes provide poor households and enterprises with enhanced access to a wide range of financial services by promoting inclusive financial sectors and providing investment capital for emerging microfinance institutions (MFIs) and other financial service providers (FSPs) in the LDCs. • UNCDF's local development programmes support national decentralization strategies in the LDCs and seek to improve social services, governance and pro-poor economic infrastructure at the local level by providing technical assistance and investment capital directly to local authorities.

Limpopo LED Resource Centre (LLEDRC)
The Limpopo LED Resource Centre (LLEDRC) is a non-profit Association. Its mission is to contribute to the reduction of poverty, unemployment and marginalisation in South Africa and in Limpopo Province in particular, and to contribute to the attaining of the Millennium Goals, by stimulating job creation and the development of local economies, small businesses and co-operatives, through community participation and empowerment. The work of the LLEDRC is carried out through four interlinked supporting Units, each headed by an experienced Adviser in his or her particular field, and in the overall area of developing local economies. The four Units are: Training & Capacity Building; Policy & Research; Knowledge & Information; Project Development & Implementation.
AEIDL - European Association for Information on Local Development
AElDL fue fundada en 1988, en la forma de no una organización sin fines de lucro. Su Asamblea General está formada por los actores del desarrollo local y especialistas de diversos sectores de la sociedad civil y Estados de Europa: académicos, agentes de desarrollo, administradores de asociaciones, los funcionarios públicos y los directores de empresas de economía social.
