III CDMYPE International Meeting

EL SALVADOR: The III International Congress of CDMYPE - Centres for Development of Small and Micro Enterprises - entitled: "Fostering entrepreneurship, innovation and export in SMEs " took place from April 5 to 7, 2017.  The meeting brought together more than 150 representatives of Develpment Centers for SMEs, who provide support to micro and small enterprises in order to enhance their growth and development. 

The SMEs Development Centers (CDMYPE) are a network of 14 Centers operating throughout the country, a product of the public-private partnership promoted by the National Commission for Micro and Small Enterprises (CONAMYPE ). The CDMYPE Association (ACDMYPE) represents twelve Institutions managing thirteen CDMYPEs, and its purpose is to work collaboratively with CONAMYPE to promote, strengthen and sustain the Micro and Small Business Development Centers (CDMYPE).
 
National and international speakers, as well as representatives of similar networks and centers operating in Guatemala, Honduras and the Dominican Republic participated in the III congress. The presentations addressed various topics such as the perspectives of the Salvadoran economy in the context of United States policy, business organization models, business innovation, business models applied to SMEs, promotion of innovation in MSE management, business opportunities for Salvadorans living in New York, business by internet, ethics and business values, among others.
 
The congress was attended by cooperation agencies, sponsoring companies and exhibitors such as: European Union, USAID, El Salvador PROESA Export and Investment Promotion Agency, CENPROMYPE, Dynamic Initiative of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), Central American TRIAS, BANDESAL , Banco de Fomento Agropecuario, Banco Hipotecario, Banco Continental, Banco ProCredit, Credicomer, Asesuisa, Central Reserve Bank of El Salvador.
 
During the conference, the National Commission for Micro and Small Enterprises (CONAMYPE) awarded the best centers and advisors in 2016.
For the selection of the best advisors of the year, they considered criterias such as: generation of impact on sales, generation of impact on jobs, number of credits placed...
In this framework, the women entrepreneurship advisor and CDMYPE of ADEL Morazán have been awarded.
